چکیده
Objective: To evaluate the accuracy of colour Doppler USG and b-mode preoperatively in detection ovarian malignancy using histopathological diagnosis as gold standard Methodology: This cross-sectional study was conducted at Fauji Foundation hospital Rawalpindi from June, 2017 to Jan, 2020 after seeking ethical approval committee A total 96 female patients having adnexal masses on ultrasound were included study. Enrollment subjected written informed consent. Patients mass non-ovarian origin, not fit for surgery lost follow up excluded History taking examination followed by color-doppler each patient. Color sonography carried out with real-time scanner unit. All undergone laparotomy pre op workup. Histopathologies all traced. avoid observer error, a designated trained operator performed doppler own resource Toshiba Xario .Histopathology also pathology laboratoty histopathologist. traced .All relevant findings recorded pre-designed proforma. Data entered analysed SPSS Version-26. Result: The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV) negative (NPV) grayscale detecting calculated. specificity found be 90.3% sensitivity 79.2%. Positive predicative values 92.9% 73.1% respectively. Conclusion: Based upon findings, USG’s reliability can established malignancies. Keywords: Adnexal mass, Doppler, Ultrasonography, Ovarian

متن کاملI-47: Doppler Ultrasound Diagnosis of Intrauterine Lesions
Background In patients with abnormal uterine bleeding, transvaginal ultrasound (TVS) is the first-line diagnostic approach to exclude endometrial pathology. If a thickened endometrium suggests endometrial pathology, sonohysterography, office hysteroscopy or dilatation and curettage are the second-line tests preferred, depending on availability and on the suspected pathology, to exclude malignan...
